DKSH has signed an agreement to acquire Euroingredientes. In a press release, the Zurich-based conglomerate describes the product portfolio of the Portuguese company, which was founded in 2001, as unique. It supplies certified, high-quality ingredients such as dairy products, beverages, bread and bakery products to various sectors of the food industry.
Euroingredientes represents a portfolio of 30 suppliers and, according to the press release, offers DKSH Performance Materials Portugal a “great opportunity” to further expand its life sciences business in Portugal and Europe. Over the past 20 years, Euroingredientes has been able “to build exceptionally strong supplier relationships”, according to CEO Isabel Viegas. “By joining forces with DKSH, we can further strengthen our position and expand our presence in the growing life science industries”.
The Portuguese company offers “a wide range of raw materials to all areas of the food industry with strong growth prospects in Portugal”, as Thomas Sul and Natale Capri, Co-Heads Business Unit Performance Materials at DKSH, state in the press release. “We extend a warm welcome to the team at Euroingredientes and are excited about continuing to grow the business in Europe together”. ce/mm
